بسم ٱلله ٱلرحمن ٱلرحيم

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent.

111:1

May the twofold power to act of the Father of the Flame go to perdition, and he himself has gone to perdition.

تبت يدآ أبي لهب وتب

111:2

His goods and what he acquired have availed him nothing.

مآ أغنى عنه ماله وما كسب

111:3–4

He will burn in a fire of flame, and his wife as well,

سيصلى نارا ذات لهب وٱمرأته

111:5

the one who ceaselessly carries the firewood, a rope of twisted fiber around her throat.

حمالة ٱلحطب في جيدها حبل من مسد
