38:13 Sura 38 · The One Who Keeps Turning Back Open the verse →
Before them, the people of Nuh denied, and the Aad, and Fir'awn of the stakes, the Thamud, the people of Lut, and the companions of the Thicket.
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ وَعَادٌۭ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو ٱلْأَوْتَادِ وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍۢ وَأَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ -
78:16 Sura 78 · The Immense Information Open the verse →
Have We not made the earth a resting place, and the mountains as pegs? Have We not created you in pairs, and made your sleep a rest? Have We not made the night a covering, and the day for livelihood? Have We not built above you seven strong, and placed an incandescent torch? And sent down from those that press out abundant water, that We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation, and intertwined gardens?
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَٰدًۭا وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًۭا وَخَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًۭا وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًۭا وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًۭا شِدَادًۭا وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًۭا وَهَّاجًۭا وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءًۭ ثَجَّاجًۭا لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّۭا وَنَبَاتًۭا وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا -
89:13 Sura 89 · The Dawn Open the verse →
Have you not seen how your Guardian dealt with the Aad, Iram of the lofty pillars, the like of which had never been created in the lands? And with the Thamud, who hewed through the rock in the valley? And with Fir'awn, holder of the stakes? Those who exceeded all measure in the lands and made corruption abound therein — so your Guardian poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلْعِمَادِ ٱلَّتِى لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِى ٱلْبِلَٰدِ وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُوا۟ ٱلصَّخْرَ بِٱلْوَادِ وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِى ٱلْأَوْتَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْبِلَٰدِ فَأَكْثَرُوا۟ فِيهَا ٱلْفَسَادَ فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ
