Uses

1. ٱلْوُحُوش → "the wild beasts" : gathered on the Day, among the signs of the upheaval.

   • «وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ» — "and when the wild beasts are gathered" (81:5)

Evidence from the text

The word occurs only once, in the opening series of sura 81: the sun wrapped up, the stars dispersed, the mountains set in motion. The wild beasts, which live scattered and far from people, are gathered there, with the verb that elsewhere says the gathering of human beings: even what will not be brought together is brought together that day.
