Forme attestate : ٱلْوَدْقَ 2
Core meaning
The rain that comes out of the cloud, at the end of its forming.
Uses
ٱلْوَدْق → "the shower" : the water seen coming out of the gathered cloud.
Evidence from the text
Both occurrences describe the same sequence: God makes the clouds glide, joins them, makes them into a mass (24:43), or spreads them in the sky and breaks them into fragments (30:48); then "you see the shower come forth from their midst". الوَدْق is the water born of this work of the cloud, seen as it comes out.
