Al-Mu'minun

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. The believers have attained success,

ٮسم الله الرحمں الرحٮم ڡد اڡلح المومٮوں

those who, in their Contact, are humble,

الدٮں هم ڡى صلاٮهم حسعوں

and those who turn away from idle talk,

والدٮں هم عں اللعو معرصوں

and those who give pure liberality,

والدٮں هم للركوه ڡعلوں

and those who preserve their private parts, except with their spouses or those bound by oath — for then they are not censurable;

والدٮں هم لڡروحهم حڡطوں الا على اروحهم او ما ملكٮ اٮمٮهم ڡاٮهم عٮر ملومٮں

but whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the ones who cross the limits.

ڡمں اٮٮعى ورا دلك ڡاولٮك هم العادوں

and those who are watchful over their trusts and their pact,

والدٮں هم لامٮٮهم وعهدهم رعوں

abiding therein eternally.

هم ڡٮها حلدوں

We created the human being from an extract of clay,

ولڡد حلڡٮا الاٮسں مں سلله مں طٮں

then We made him a drop in a secure and stable place,

ٮم حعلٮه ٮطڡه ڡى ڡرار مكٮں

Blessed is God, the best of creators!

ڡٮٮارك الله احسں الحلڡٮں

Then, after that, you are surely destined to die,

ٮم اٮكم ٮعد دلك لمٮٮوں

then, on the Day of Appearance, you will indeed be raised.

ٮم اٮكم ٮوم الڡٮمه ٮٮعٮوں

and We have never been heedless of creation.

وما كٮا عں الحلٯ عڡلٮں

and We are surely able to make it disappear.

واٮا على دهاٮ ٮه لڡدروں

We thus brought into being for you, through it, gardens of palms and vines, wherein you have abundant savoury fruits and from which you eat, and a tree that comes out of Mount Sinai, which grows with oil and a condiment for those who eat.

ڡاٮساٮا لكم ٮه حٮٮ مں ٮحٮل واعٮٮ لكم ڡٮها ڡوكه كٮٮره ومٮها ٮاكلوں وسحره ٮحرح مں طور سٮٮا ٮٮٮٮ ٮالدهں وصٮع للاكلٮں

We give you drink from what is in their bellies,

ٮسڡٮكم مما ڡى ٮطوٮها

and you have in them many benefits, and you eat from them, and upon them as well as upon vessels you are carried.

ولكم ڡٮها مٮڡع كٮٮره ومٮها ٮاكلوں وعلٮها وعلى الڡلك ٮحملوں

Will you not then guard yourselves?"

اڡلا ٮٮڡوں

The court of his people, those who disowned, then said: "This is nothing but a human like you, who wants to gain superiority over you; had God willed, He would have sent down Agents; we have not heard this among our first ancestors. He is nothing but a man afflicted with derangement — so bide your time concerning him, for a time."

ڡڡال الملوا الدٮں كڡروا مں ڡومه ما هدا الا ٮسر مٮلكم ٮرٮد اں ٮٮڡصل علٮكم ولو سا الله لاٮرل ملٮكه ما سمعٮا ٮهدا ڡى اٮاٮٮا الاولٮں اں هو الا رحل ٮه حٮه ڡٮرٮصوا ٮه حٮى حٮں

He said: "My Guardian, help me, for they have denied me."

ڡال رٮ اٮصرٮى ٮما كدٮوں

and do not address Me about those who have done wrong: they will indeed be drowned.

ولا ٮحطٮٮى ڡى الدٮں طلموا اٮهم معرڡوں

And when you have established yourself, you and those with you, in the vessel, say: 'Praise be to God who has saved us from the wrongdoing people.'

ڡادا اسٮوٮٮ اٮٮ ومں معك على الڡلك ڡڡل الحمد لله الدى ٮحٮٮا مں الڡوم الطلمٮں

And say: 'My Guardian, cause me to land at a blessed place of welcome, for You are the best of hosts.'"

وڡل رٮ اٮرلٮى مٮرلا مٮاركا واٮٮ حٮر المٮرلٮں

and We were indeed testing.

واں كٮا لمٮٮلٮں

Will you not then guard yourselves?"

اڡلا ٮٮڡوں

And the court of his people, those who disowned and denied the meeting of the last life, and to whom We had given affluence in the present life, said: "This is nothing but a human like you, who eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink; and if you defer to a human like you, you will then indeed be losers. Does he promise you that, once dead and become earth and bones, you will be brought out? Far, far indeed is what you are promised! There is nothing but our present life, we die and we live, and we will not be raised up! He is nothing but a man who has invented a lie against God, and we will not give him credit."

وڡال الملا مں ڡومه الدٮں كڡروا وكدٮوا ٮلڡا الاحره واٮرڡٮهم ڡى الحٮوه الدٮٮا ما هدا الا ٮسر مٮلكم ٮاكل مما ٮاكلوں مٮه وٮسرٮ مما ٮسرٮوں ولٮں اطعٮم ٮسرا مٮلكم اٮكم ادا لحسروں اٮعدكم اٮكم ادا مٮم وكٮٮم ٮراٮا وعطما اٮكم محرحوں هٮهاٮ هٮهاٮ لما ٮوعدوں اں هى الا حٮاٮٮا الدٮٮا ٮموٮ وٮحٮا وما ٮحں ٮمٮعوٮٮں اں هو الا رحل اڡٮرى على الله كدٮا وما ٮحں له ٮمومٮٮں

He said: "My Guardian, help me, for they have denied me."

ڡال رٮ اٮصرٮى ٮما كدٮوں

He said: "A little while yet, and they will surely find themselves full of regret."

ڡال عما ڡلٮل لٮصٮحں ٮدمٮں

Far removed then be the wrongdoing people!

ڡٮعدا للڡوم الطلمٮں

Then We brought into being, after them, other generations.

ٮم اٮساٮا مں ٮعدهم ڡروٮا احرٮں

No community precedes its term, nor does it delay it.

ما ٮسٮٯ مں امه احلها وما ٮسٮحروں

Far removed then be a people that does not believe!

ڡٮعدا لڡوم لا ٮومٮوں

Then We sent Moussa and his brother Harun, with Our signs and a manifest authority, to Fir'awn and his court; but they grew proud and were a haughty people,

ٮم ارسلٮا موسى واحاه هروں ٮاٮٮٮا وسلطں مٮٮں الى ڡرعوں وملاٮه ڡاسٮكٮروا وكاٮوا ڡوما عالٮں

and they said: "Shall we give credit to two humans like ourselves, while their people obey us?"

ڡڡالوا اٮومں لٮسرٮں مٮلٮا وڡومهما لٮا عٮدوں

They denied them, and were thus among those annihilated.

ڡكدٮوهما ڡكاٮوا مں المهلكٮں

We certainly gave Moussa the Scripture, perhaps they would let themselves be guided.

ولڡد اٮٮٮا موسى الكٮٮ لعلهم ٮهٮدوں

and We granted them refuge on a height endowed with stability and spring water.

واوٮٮهما الى رٮوه داٮ ڡرار ومعٮں

I am All-Knowing of what you do.

اٮى ٮما ٮعملوں علٮم

and I am your Guardian: so guard yourselves toward Me.

واٮا رٮكم ڡاٮڡوں

each party rejoicing in what it holds.

كل حرٮ ٮما لدٮهم ڡرحوں

So forsake them in their gulf, for a time.

ڡدرهم ڡى عمرٮهم حٮى حٮں

No, they do not sense it.

ٮل لا ٮسعروں

and it is they who race ahead to it.

وهم لها سٮڡوں

and We have a record that utters the truth, and they will not be wronged.

ولدٮٮا كٮٮ ٮٮطٯ ٮالحٯ وهم لا ٮطلموں

which they will continue to commit —

هم لها عملوں

until, when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, there they are, crying out in distress.

حٮى ادا احدٮا مٮرڡٮهم ٮالعداٮ ادا هم ٮحروں

you will indeed not be helped by Us.

اٮكم مٮا لا ٮٮصروں

conversing by night, you spoke outrageously.

سمرا ٮهحروں

Have they then not pondered the saying, or has there come to them what did not come to their first ancestors?

اڡلم ٮدٮروا الڡول ام حاهم ما لم ٮاٮ اٮاهم الاولٮں

Or did they not recognize their messenger, to the point that they disavow him?

ام لم ٮعرڡوا رسولهم ڡهم له مٮكروں

but most of them are averse to the truth.

واكٮرهم للحٯ كرهوں

but they turn away from their Reminder.

ڡهم عں دكرهم معرصوں

and He is the best of providers.

وهو حٮر الررڡٮں

And you surely call them toward a straight path;

واٮك لٮدعوهم الى صرط مسٮڡٮم

but those who do not believe in the last life surely deviate from that path.

واں الدٮں لا ٮومٮوں ٮالاحره عں الصرط لٮكٮوں

And if We had benevolence on them and removed from them the harm that was upon them, they would be mired in their immoderation, going about blindly.

ولو رحمٮهم وكسڡٮا ما ٮهم مں صر للحوا ڡى طعٮٮهم ٮعمهوں

We did indeed seize them with punishment, yet they did not bend before their Guardian, nor did they beseech,

ولڡد احدٮهم ٮالعداٮ ڡما اسٮكاٮوا لرٮهم وما ٮٮصرعوں

until, when We open upon them a gate of severe punishment, there they are, in despair.

حٮى ادا ڡٮحٮا علٮهم ٮاٮا دا عداٮ سدٮد ادا هم ڡٮه مٮلسوں

How little you are grateful!

ڡلٮلا ما ٮسكروں

And He is the One who has scattered you upon the earth, and it is to Him that you will be gathered.

وهو الدى دراكم ڡى الارص والٮه ٮحسروں

Will you not then reason?

اڡلا ٮعڡلوں

But they said the same thing that the ancients used to say; they said: "When we are dead and have become earth and bones, shall we really be raised?

ٮل ڡالوا مٮل ما ڡال الاولوں ڡالوا ادا مٮٮا وكٮا ٮراٮا وعطما اٮا لمٮعوٮوں

these are nothing but legends of the ancients."

اں هدا الا اسطٮر الاولٮں

Say: "Will you not then remember?"

ڡل اڡلا ٮدكروں

Say: "Who is the Guardian of the seven heavens and the Guardian of the immense Edifice?"

ڡل مں رٮ السموٮ السٮع ورٮ العرس العطٮم

Say: "Will you not then guard yourselves?"

ڡل اڡلا ٮٮڡوں

Say: "How then are you abused by illusion?"

ڡل ڡاٮى ٮسحروں

and they are surely liars.

واٮهم لكدٮوں

Glory be to God, above what they describe!

سٮحں الله عما ٮصڡوں

He is far above what they associate with Him.

ڡٮعلى عما ٮسركوں

Say: "My Guardian, if You show me what they are promised, then, my Guardian, do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

ڡل رٮ اما ٮرٮٮى ما ٮوعدوں رٮ ڡلا ٮحعلٮى ڡى الڡوم الطلمٮں

And We are surely able to show you what We promise them.

واٮا على اں ٮرٮك ما ٮعدهم لڡدروں

We know best what they describe.

ٮحں اعلم ٮما ٮصڡوں

And say: "My Guardian, I take refuge with You from the incitements of the Diverters, and I take refuge with You, my Guardian, against their being present with me."

وڡل رٮ اعود ٮك مں همرٮ السٮطٮں واعود ٮك رٮ اں ٮحصروں

and behind them there is a barrier, until the day they are raised.

ومں وراٮهم ٮررح الى ٮوم ٮٮعٮوں

Then, when the Horn is blown, there will be no ties of lineage between them that day, and they will not question one another.

ڡادا ٮڡح ڡى الصور ڡلا اٮساٮ ٮٮٮهم ٮومٮد ولا ٮٮسالوں

Those whose balances are heavy — those are the ones who succeed;

ڡمں ٮڡلٮ مورٮٮه ڡاولٮك هم المڡلحوں

And those whose balances are light — those are the ones who have caused the loss of their Selves, abiding eternally in Jahannam; the Fire will scorch their faces, and they will grimace therein, lips drawn back.

ومں حڡٮ مورٮٮه ڡاولٮك الدٮں حسروا اٮڡسهم ڡى حهٮم حلدوں ٮلڡح وحوههم الٮار وهم ڡٮها كلحوں

Were My signs not recited to you, and you denied them?

الم ٮكں اٮٮى ٮٮلى علٮكم ڡكٮٮم ٮها ٮكدٮوں

They will say: "Our Guardian, our misery overcame us, and we were an astray people.

ڡالوا رٮٮا علٮٮ علٮٮا سڡوٮٮا وكٮا ڡوما صالٮں

Our Guardian, bring us out of it; if we relapse, we will then indeed be wrongdoers."

رٮٮا احرحٮا مٮها ڡاں عدٮا ڡاٮا طلموں

He will say: "Remain therein, rebuffed, and do not speak to Me."

ڡال احسوا ڡٮها ولا ٮكلموں

There was a fraction among My obedient ones who said: "Our Guardian, we believe; forgive us and have benevolence on us, for You are the best of those who show benevolence" — but you made them the object of your scoffing, until they made you forget My Reminder, and you used to laugh at them.

اٮه كاں ڡرٮٯ مں عٮادى ٮڡولوں رٮٮا امٮا ڡاعڡر لٮا وارحمٮا واٮٮ حٮر الرحمٮں ڡاٮحدٮموهم سحرٮا حٮى اٮسوكم دكرى وكٮٮم مٮهم ٮصحكوں

I have indeed this day recompensed them for their patience: it is they who are the triumphant.

اٮى حرٮٮهم الٮوم ٮما صٮروا اٮهم هم الڡاٮروں

He will say: "How many years did you remain on the earth?"

ڡل كم لٮٮٮم ڡى الارص عدد سٮٮں

or part of a day; so ask those who number."

او ٮعص ٮوم ڡسل العادٮں

He will say: "You remained only a little, if only you knew."

ڡل اں لٮٮٮم الا ڡلٮلا لو اٮكم كٮٮم ٮعلموں

Did you then think that We created you in vain, and that you would not be returned to Us?

اڡحسٮٮم اٮما حلڡٮكم عٮٮا واٮكم الٮٮا لا ٮرحعوں

the Guardian of the noble Edifice.

رٮ العرس الكرٮم

Those who disown do not attain success.

اٮه لا ٮڡلح الكڡروں

And say: "My Guardian, forgive and have benevolence, for You are the best of those who show benevolence."

وڡل رٮ اعڡر وارحم واٮٮ حٮر الرحمٮں
