The Abode of Peace
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Alif. Lam. Ra.
ٮسم الله الرحمں الرحٮم الر
These are the signs of the Scripture full of wisdom.
ٮلك اٮٮ الكٮٮ الحكٮم
Is it then a wonder for men that We revealed to a man among them: "Warn mankind,
اكاں للٮاس عحٮا اں اوحٮٮا الى رحل مٮهم اں اٮدر الٮاس
and give good news to those who have believed that they have, with their Guardian, a firm step of veracity"?
وٮسر الدٮں امٮوا اں لهم ڡدم صدٯ عٮد رٮهم
Those who disown say: "This is surely a manifest illusion."
ڡال الكڡروں اں هدا لسحر مٮٮں
Your Guardian is indeed God, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself upon the Edifice.
اں رٮكم الله الدى حلٯ السموٮ والارص ڡى سٮه اٮام ٮم اسٮوى على العرس
He governs the Order.
ٮدٮر الامر
No intercessor except after His permission.
ما مں سڡٮع الا مں ٮعد ادٮه
That is God, your Guardian.
دلكم الله رٮكم
So obey Him.
ڡاعٮدوه
Will you not then remember?
اڡلا ٮدكروں
To Him will be your return, all together.
الٮه مرحعكم حمٮعا
A promise of God, in truth.
وعد الله حڡا
It is He who begins creation, then remakes it, so as to recompense with equity those who believed and did sound deeds.
اٮه ٮٮدوا الحلٯ ٮم ٮعٮده لٮحرى الدٮں امٮوا وعملوا الصلحٮ ٮالڡسط
As for those who disowned, they will have a drink of boiling water and a painful punishment, for having disowned.
والدٮں كڡروا لهم سراٮ مں حمٮم وعداٮ الٮم ٮما كاٮوا ٮكڡروں
It is He who made the sun a brightness and the moon a light, and set for it stations, so that you might know the number of years and the reckoning.
هو الدى حعل السمس صٮا والڡمر ٮورا وڡدره مٮارل لٮعلموا عدد السٮٮں والحساٮ
God created that only in truth.
ما حلٯ الله دلك الا ٮالحٯ
He details the signs for a people who know.
ٮڡصل الاٮٮ لڡوم ٮعلموں
In the alternation of night and day, and in what God created in the heavens and the earth, there are surely signs for a people who guard themselves.
اں ڡى احٮلڡ الٮل والٮهار وما حلٯ الله ڡى السموٮ والارص لاٮٮ لڡوم ٮٮڡوں
Indeed, those who do not hope for Our meeting, who were content with the present life and were calmed by it, and those who are heedless of Our signs — those are the ones whose refuge will be the Fire, for what they used to earn.
اں الدٮں لا ٮرحوں لڡاٮا ورصوا ٮالحٮوه الدٮٮا واطماٮوا ٮها والدٮں هم عں اٮٮٮا عڡلوں اولٮك ماوٮهم الٮار ٮما كاٮوا ٮكسٮوں
Indeed, those who believed and did sound deeds, their Guardian guides them by reason of their faith.
اں الدٮں امٮوا وعملوا الصلحٮ ٮهدٮهم رٮهم ٮاٮمٮهم
Beneath them rivers will flow, in the Gardens of bliss.
ٮحرى مں ٮحٮهم الاٮهر ڡى حٮٮ الٮعٮم
Their cry there will be: "Glory be to You, O God!"
دعوٮهم ڡٮها سٮحٮك اللهم
And their greeting there will be: "Peace".
وٮحٮٮهم ڡٮها سلم
And the last of their cry will be: "Praise be to God, Guardian of all beings."
واحر دعوٮهم اں الحمد لله رٮ العلمٮں
And if God hastened ill for men as they seek to hasten good, their term would already have been decided for them.
ولو ٮعحل الله للٮاس السر اسٮعحالهم ٮالحٮر لڡصى الٮهم احلهم
So We forsake those who do not hope for Our meeting in their immoderation, where they go about blindly.
ڡٮدر الدٮں لا ٮرحوں لڡاٮا ڡى طعٮٮهم ٮعمهوں
And when harm touches the human being, he calls upon Us lying on his side, sitting, or standing;
وادا مس الاٮسں الصر دعاٮا لحٮٮه او ڡاعدا او ڡاٮما
then, when We have removed his harm from him, he goes his way as if he had never called upon Us for a harm that had touched him.
ڡلما كسڡٮا عٮه صره مر كاں لم ٮدعٮا الى صر مسه
Thus were embellished, for the excessive ones, the deeds they used to do.
كدلك رٮں للمسرڡٮں ما كاٮوا ٮعملوں
We annihilated the generations before you as soon as they did wrong, even though their messengers had come to them with clear proofs;
ولڡد اهلكٮا الڡروں مں ڡٮلكم لما طلموا وحاٮهم رسلهم ٮالٮٮٮٮ
but they were not disposed to believe.
وما كاٮوا لٮومٮوا
Thus do We recompense the severed people.
كدلك ٮحرى الڡوم المحرمٮں
Then We made you successors on the earth, after them, so as to look at how you would act.
ٮم حعلٮكم حلٮڡ ڡى الارص مں ٮعدهم لٮٮطر كٮڡ ٮعملوں
And when Our signs are recited to them, wholly explicit, those who do not hope for Our meeting say: "Bring a Recitation other than this one, or change it."
وادا ٮٮلى علٮهم اٮاٮٮا ٮٮٮٮ ڡال الدٮں لا ٮرحوں لڡاٮا اٮٮ ٮڡراں عٮر هدا او ٮدله
Say: "It is not for me to change it of my own accord;
ڡل ما ٮكوں لى اں اٮدله مں ٮلڡاى ٮڡسى
I only follow what is revealed to me.
اں اٮٮع الا ما ٮوحى الى
I indeed fear, if I disobey my Guardian, the punishment of an immense day."
اٮى احاڡ اں عصٮٮ رٮى عداٮ ٮوم عطٮم
Say: "Had God willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have given you any idea of it.
ڡل لو سا الله ما ٮلوٮه علٮكم ولا ادرٮكم ٮه
I remained among you a whole lifetime before it, after all.
ڡڡد لٮٮٮ ڡٮكم عمرا مں ڡٮله
Will you not then reason?"
اڡلا ٮعڡلوں
Who then does more wrong than one who invents a lie against God, or denies His signs?
ڡمں اطلم ممں اڡٮرى على الله كدٮا او كدٮ ٮاٮٮه
The severed indeed do not succeed.
اٮه لا ٮڡلح المحرموں
And they obey, besides God, what neither harms nor benefits them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with God."
وٮعٮدوں مں دوں الله ما لا ٮصرهم ولا ٮٮڡعهم وٮڡولوں هولا سڡعوٮا عٮد الله
Say: "Do you inform God of what He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?"
ڡل اٮٮٮوں الله ٮما لا ٮعلم ڡى السموٮ ولا ڡى الارص
Glory be to Him, and He is far above what they associate with Him.
سٮحٮه وٮعلى عما ٮسركوں
Mankind was but one single community, then they diverged.
وما كاں الٮاس الا امه وحده ڡاحٮلڡوا
And had it not been for a word that preceded from your Guardian, it would already have been decided between them concerning what they differ over.
ولولا كلمه سٮڡٮ مں رٮك لڡصى ٮٮٮهم ڡٮما ڡٮه ٮحٮلڡوں
And they say: "Why has no sign been sent down to him from his Guardian?"
وٮڡولوں لولا اٮرل علٮه اٮه مں رٮه
Say: "What escapes the senses belongs only to God.
ڡڡل اٮما العٮٮ لله
So wait:
ڡاٮٮطروا
I am indeed, with you, among those who wait."
اٮى معكم مں المٮٮطرٮں
And when We let men taste a benevolence after a hardship that had touched them, there they are, plotting against Our signs.
وادا ادڡٮا الٮاس رحمه مں ٮعد صرا مسٮهم ادا لهم مكر ڡى اٮاٮٮا
Say: "God is swifter in plotting."
ڡل الله اسرع مكرا
Our envoys indeed write down what you plot.
اں رسلٮا ٮكٮٮوں ما ٮمكروں
It is He who makes you travel on land and sea,
هو الدى ٮسٮركم ڡى الٮر والٮحر
until, when you are in the vessel and it sails with them by a wholesome wind, and they rejoice in it, a violent wind comes upon it, the swell comes at them from every side, and they presume they are encompassed — then they call upon God, devoting the Law exclusively to Him: "If You save us from this, we will certainly be among the grateful."
حٮى ادا كٮٮم ڡى الڡلك وحرٮں ٮهم ٮرٮح طٮٮه وڡرحوا ٮها حاٮها رٮح عاصڡ وحاهم الموح مں كل مكاں وطٮوا اٮهم احٮط ٮهم دعوا الله محلصٮں له الدٮں لٮں اٮحٮٮٮا مں هده لٮكوٮں مں السكرٮں
But as soon as He saves them, there they are, committing iniquity on earth, without right.
ڡلما اٮحٮهم ادا هم ٮٮعوں ڡى الارص ٮعٮر الحٯ
O mankind! Your iniquity falls back only upon yourselves,
ٮاٮها الٮاس اٮما ٮعٮكم على اٮڡسكم
an enjoyment of the present life;
مٮع الحٮوه الدٮٮا
then to Us will be your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do.
ٮم الٮٮا مرحعكم ڡٮٮٮٮكم ٮما كٮٮم ٮعملوں
The example of the present life is that of water which We send down from the sky, and which mixes
اٮما مٮل الحٮوه الدٮٮا كما اٮرلٮه مں السما ڡاحٮلط
with the vegetation of the earth, from which men and cattle eat,
ٮه ٮٮاٮ الارص مما ٮاكل الٮاس والاٮعم
until, when the earth has taken on its gilding and become embellished, and its people presume they have mastery over it, Our command comes to it, by night or by day, and We make it a mown field, as if it had not flourished the day before.
حٮى ادا احدٮ الارص رحرڡها وارٮٮٮ وطں اهلها اٮهم ڡدروں علٮها اٮٮها امرٮا لٮلا او ٮهارا ڡحعلٮها حصٮدا كاں لم ٮعں ٮالامس
Thus do We detail the signs for a people who reflect.
كدلك ٮڡصل الاٮٮ لڡوم ٮٮڡكروں
God calls to the Abode of Peace, and He guides whom He wills to a straight path.
والله ٮدعوا الى دار السلم وٮهدى مں ٮسا الى صرط مسٮڡٮم
To those who do good belongs the best, and even more;
للدٮں احسٮوا الحسٮى ورٮاده
neither dark dust nor humiliation will veil their faces.
ولا ٮرهٯ وحوههم ڡٮر ولا دله
Those are the companions of the Garden,
اولٮك اصحٮ الحٮه
they abide therein eternally.
هم ڡٮها حلدوں
As for those who earned evil deeds, the recompense of an evil deed will be its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them; they will have no safeguard against God — as if their faces were covered with a dark piece of the night.
والدٮں كسٮوا السٮاٮ حرا سٮٮه ٮمٮلها وٮرهڡهم دله ما لهم مں الله مں عاصم كاٮما اعسٮٮ وحوههم ڡطعا مں الٮل مطلما
Those are the companions of the Fire, they abide therein eternally.
اولٮك اصحٮ الٮار هم ڡٮها حلدوں
And on the day when We gather them all together, then say to those who associated: "Stay in your place, you and your associates" — then We will separate them from one another,
وٮوم ٮحسرهم حمٮعا ٮم ٮڡول للدٮں اسركوا مكاٮكم اٮٮم وسركاوكم ڡرٮلٮا ٮٮٮهم
and their associates will say: "It was not us that you obeyed."
وڡال سركاوهم ما كٮٮم اٮاٮا ٮعٮدوں
God suffices as a witness between us and you: we were indeed heedless of your obedience.
ڡكڡى ٮالله سهٮدا ٮٮٮٮا وٮٮٮكم اں كٮا عں عٮادٮكم لعڡلٮں
There, every Self will recite what it did in former days,
هٮالك ٮٮلوا كل ٮڡس ما اسلڡٮ
and they will be brought back to God, their true nearest Guarantor,
وردوا الى الله مولٮهم الحٯ
and what they used to invent will have strayed away from them.
وصل عٮهم ما كاٮوا ٮڡٮروں
Say: "Who provides for you from the sky and the earth?
ڡل مں ٮررڡكم مں السما والارص
Or who holds mastery over hearing and sight, who brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living, and who governs the Order?"
امں ٮملك السمع والاٮصر ومں ٮحرح الحى مں المٮٮ وٮحرح المٮٮ مں الحى ومں ٮدٮر الامر
They will say: "God."
ڡسٮڡولوں الله
Then say: "Will you not then guard yourselves?"
ڡڡل اڡلا ٮٮڡوں
That is God, your true Guardian.
ڡدلكم الله رٮكم الحٯ
After the truth, what is there but error?
ڡمادا ٮعد الحٯ الا الصلل
How then are you turned away?
ڡاٮى ٮصرڡوں
Thus did the word of your Guardian prove true concerning the oversteppers: they do not believe.
كدلك حڡٮ كلمٮ رٮك على الدٮں ڡسڡوا اٮهم لا ٮومٮوں
Say: "Is there, among your associates, one who begins creation then remakes it?"
ڡل هل مں سركاٮكم مں ٮٮدوا الحلٯ ٮم ٮعٮده
Say: "God begins creation, then remakes it.
ڡل الله ٮٮدوا الحلٯ ٮم ٮعٮده
How then are you turned away?"
ڡاٮى ٮوڡكوں
Say: "Is there, among your associates, one who guides to the truth?"
ڡل هل مں سركاٮكم مں ٮهدى الى الحٯ
Say: "God guides to the truth.
ڡل الله ٮهدى للحٯ
Is one who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed, or one who does not let himself be guided unless he is guided?
اڡمں ٮهدى الى الحٯ احٯ اں ٮٮٮع امں لا ٮهدى الا اں ٮهدى
What is with you then? How do you judge?"
ڡما لكم كٮڡ ٮحكموں
Most of them follow nothing but presumption;
وما ٮٮٮع اكٮرهم الا طٮا
and presumption does not avail at all against the truth.
اں الطں لا ٮعٮى مں الحٯ سٮا
God is indeed All-Knowing of what they do.
اں الله علٮم ٮما ٮڡعلوں
This Recitation was not something that could have been invented besides God;
وما كاں هدا الڡراں اں ٮڡٮرى مں دوں الله
rather, it confirms what precedes it, and it details the Code — with no doubt possible — from the Guardian of all beings.
ولكں ٮصدٮٯ الدى ٮٮں ٮدٮه وٮڡصٮل الكٮٮ لا رٮٮ ڡٮه مں رٮ العلمٮں
Or will they say: "He has invented it"?
ام ٮڡولوں اڡٮرٮه
Say: "Bring then a surah like it,
ڡل ڡاٮوا ٮسوره مٮله
and call upon whomever you can, besides God, if you are veracious."
وادعوا مں اسٮطعٮم مں دوں الله اں كٮٮم صدڡٮں
In reality, they denied what they did not encompass in knowledge, and whose prediction had not yet come to them.
ٮل كدٮوا ٮما لم ٮحٮطوا ٮعلمه ولما ٮاٮهم ٮاوٮله
Thus did those before them deny.
كدلك كدٮ الدٮں مں ڡٮلهم
So look at what was the end of the wrongdoers.
ڡاٮطر كٮڡ كاں عڡٮه الطلمٮں
And among them are some who believe in it, and some who do not believe in it;
ومٮهم مں ٮومں ٮه ومٮهم مں لا ٮومں ٮه
your Guardian knows best the corrupters.
ورٮك اعلم ٮالمڡسدٮں
And if they deny you, say: "To me my work, and to you your work; you are quit of what I do, and I am quit of what you do."
واں كدٮوك ڡڡل لى عملى ولكم عملكم اٮٮم ٮرٮوں مما اعمل واٮا ٮرى مما ٮعملوں
And among them are some who listen to you —
ومٮهم مں ٮسٮمعوں الٮك
but will you make the deaf hear, even though they do not reason?
اڡاٮٮ ٮسمع الصم ولو كاٮوا لا ٮعڡلوں
And among them are some who look at you —
ومٮهم مں ٮٮطر الٮك
but will you guide the blind, even though they do not see clearly?
اڡاٮٮ ٮهدى العمى ولو كاٮوا لا ٮٮصروں
God indeed does not wrong men in anything;
اں الله لا ٮطلم الٮاس سٮا
it is men who wrong themselves.
ولكں الٮاس اٮڡسهم ٮطلموں
And on the day He gathers them, as if they had remained but an hour of the day, they will recognize one another.
وٮوم ٮحسرهم كاں لم ٮلٮٮوا الا ساعه مں الٮهار ٮٮعارڡوں ٮٮٮهم
They are indeed losers, those who denied the meeting with God, and they did not let themselves be guided.
ڡد حسر الدٮں كدٮوا ٮلڡا الله وما كاٮوا مهٮدٮں
And whether We show you part of what We promise them, or We keep you faithfully, to Us will be their return;
واما ٮرٮٮك ٮعص الدى ٮعدهم او ٮٮوڡٮٮك ڡالٮٮا مرحعهم
God is thereafter a witness over what they do.
ٮم الله سهٮد على ما ٮڡعلوں
And to every community, a messenger.
ولكل امه رسول
And when their messenger came, it was decided between them with equity, and they were not wronged.
ڡادا حا رسولهم ڡصى ٮٮٮهم ٮالڡسط وهم لا ٮطلموں
And they say: "When will this promise be, if you are veracious?"
وٮڡولوں مٮى هدا الوعد اں كٮٮم صدڡٮں
Say: "I hold, for myself, neither harm nor benefit, except what God wills.
ڡل لا املك لٮڡسى صرا ولا ٮڡعا الا ما سا الله
To every community a term.
لكل امه احل
When their term arrives, they cannot delay it by an hour,
ادا حا احلهم ڡلا ٮسٮحروں ساعه
nor advance it."
ولا ٮسٮڡدموں
Say: "Do you see? If His punishment came upon you by night or by day, what is it the severed would want to hasten?
ڡل ارٮٮم اں اٮٮكم عداٮه ٮٮٮا او ٮهارا مادا ٮسٮعحل مٮه المحرموں
Is it then only once it has happened that you will believe in it?
اٮم ادا ما وڡع امٮٮم ٮه
Now?! When you used to seek to hasten it!"
الں وڡد كٮٮم ٮه ٮسٮعحلوں
Then it will be said to those who did wrong: "Taste the punishment of eternity;
ٮم ڡٮل للدٮں طلموا دوڡوا عداٮ الحلد
are you recompensed except for what you used to earn?"
هل ٮحروں الا ٮما كٮٮم ٮكسٮوں
And they inquire of you: "Is it truly so?"
وٮسٮٮٮوٮك احٯ هو
Say: "Yes, by my Guardian! It is surely so, and you will not be able to render Him powerless."
ڡل اى ورٮى اٮه لحٯ وما اٮٮم ٮمعحرٮں
And if every Self that has done wrong possessed all that is on earth, it would ransom itself with it.
ولو اں لكل ٮڡس طلمٮ ما ڡى الارص لاڡٮدٮ ٮه
And they will keep their regret secret upon seeing the punishment, and it will be decided between them with equity, and they will not be wronged.
واسروا الٮدامه لما راوا العداٮ وڡصى ٮٮٮهم ٮالڡسط وهم لا ٮطلموں
Is it not so: to God belongs what is in the heavens and on the earth.
الا اں لله ما ڡى السموٮ والارص
Is it not so: God's promise is true;
الا اں وعد الله حٯ
but most of them do not know.
ولكں اكٮرهم لا ٮعلموں
It is He who gives life and causes death,
هو ٮحى وٮمٮٮ
and to Him you will be returned.
والٮه ٮرحعوں
O mankind! An admonition has come to you from your Guardian, a healing for what is in the chests, a guidance and a benevolence for the believers.
ٮاٮها الٮاس ڡد حاٮكم موعطه مں رٮكم وسڡا لما ڡى الصدور وهدى ورحمه للمومٮٮں
Say: "It is by God's favor and by His benevolence — let them rejoice in that!
ڡل ٮڡصل الله وٮرحمٮه ڡٮدلك ڡلٮڡرحوا
That is better than what they amass."
هو حٮر مما ٮحمعوں
Say: "Do you see? What God sent down for you as provision, you have made part of it prohibited and part permitted" —
ڡل ارٮٮم ما اٮرل الله لكم مں ررٯ ڡحعلٮم مٮه حراما وحللا
say: "Is it God who authorized you, or is it against God that you invent?"
ڡل الله ادں لكم ام على الله ٮڡٮروں
What will they presume, on the Day of Appearance, those who invent the lie against God?
وما طں الدٮں ٮڡٮروں على الله الكدٮ ٮوم الڡٮمه
God surely holds a favor toward mankind,
اں الله لدو ڡصل على الٮاس
but most of them are not grateful.
ولكں اكٮرهم لا ٮسكروں
You are not in any situation, nor do you recite any Recitation from it, nor do you do any deed, without Our being witnesses over you when you indulge in it.
وما ٮكوں ڡى ساں وما ٮٮلوا مٮه مں ڡراں ولا ٮعملوں مں عمل الا كٮا علٮكم سهودا اد ٮڡٮصوں ڡٮه
Nothing eludes your Guardian, even the weight of a grain on earth or in the sky,
وما ٮعرٮ عں رٮك مں مٮڡال دره ڡى الارص ولا ڡى السما
nothing smaller or greater that is not in an explicit register.
ولا اصعر مں دلك ولا اكٮر الا ڡى كٮٮ مٮٮں
Is it not so: the allies of God, no fear upon them, and they will not grieve,
الا اں اولٮا الله لا حوڡ علٮهم ولا هم ٮحرٮوں
those who believed and used to guard themselves.
الدٮں امٮوا وكاٮوا ٮٮڡوں
To them the good tidings, in the present life and in the last life.
لهم الٮسرى ڡى الحٮوه الدٮٮا وڡى الاحره
No change to God's words.
لا ٮٮدٮل لكلمٮ الله
That is the immense triumph.
دلك هو الڡور العطٮم
And let not their saying grieve you:
ولا ٮحرٮك ڡولهم
might indeed belongs to God in its entirety.
اں العره لله حمٮعا
He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
هو السمٮع العلٮم
Is it not so: to God belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth;
الا اں لله مں ڡى السموٮ ومں ڡى الارص
what, then, do those follow who invoke associates besides God?
وما ٮٮٮع الدٮں ٮدعوں مں دوں الله سركا
They follow nothing but presumption,
اں ٮٮٮعوں الا الطں
and they do nothing but guess.
واں هم الا ٮحرصوں
It is He who made for you the night so that you might rest in it, and the day for seeing clearly.
هو الدى حعل لكم الٮل لٮسكٮوا ڡٮه والٮهار مٮصرا
There are surely in that signs for a people who hear.
اں ڡى دلك لاٮٮ لڡوم ٮسمعوں
They say: "God has taken a child."
ڡالوا اٮحد الله ولدا
Glory be to Him!
سٮحٮه
He is the Self-Sufficient.
هو العٮى
To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth.
له ما ڡى السموٮ وما ڡى الارص
You have no authority for this.
اں عٮدكم مں سلطں ٮهدا
Will you say about God what you do not know?
اٮڡولوں على الله ما لا ٮعلموں
Say: "Those who invent the lie against God indeed do not succeed."
ڡل اں الدٮں ٮڡٮروں على الله الكدٮ لا ٮڡلحوں
An enjoyment in the present life,
مٮع ڡى الدٮٮا
then to Us will be their return; then We will make them taste the severe punishment, for having disowned.
ٮم الٮٮا مرحعهم ٮم ٮدٮڡهم العداٮ السدٮد ٮما كاٮوا ٮكڡروں
And recite to them the information concerning Nuh, when he said to his people: "O my people! If my standing among you and my reminder of God's signs weigh upon you, it is to God that I entrust myself.
واٮل علٮهم ٮٮا ٮوح اد ڡال لڡومه ٮڡوم اں كاں كٮر علٮكم مڡامى وٮدكٮرى ٮاٮٮ الله ڡعلى الله ٮوكلٮ
So bring together your resolve and your associates,
ڡاحمعوا امركم وسركاكم
let your resolve no longer be, for you, a clouded matter,
ٮم لا ٮكں امركم علٮكم عمه
then carry it out against me, and grant me no delay.
ٮم اڡصوا الى ولا ٮٮطروں
If you turn your backs, I have not asked you for any reward;
ڡاں ٮولٮٮم ڡما سالٮكم مں احر
my reward is incumbent only upon God,
اں احرى الا على الله
and I have been commanded to be among those true to God alone."
وامرٮ اں اكوں مں المسلمٮں
But they denied him; We saved him, and those with him in the vessel, and We made them successors,
ڡكدٮوه ڡٮحٮٮه ومں معه ڡى الڡلك وحعلٮهم حلٮڡ
and We drowned those who had denied Our signs.
واعرڡٮا الدٮں كدٮوا ٮاٮٮٮا
So look at what was the end of those who were warned.
ڡاٮطر كٮڡ كاں عڡٮه المٮدرٮں
Then, after him, We raised up messengers to their peoples; they brought them clear proofs, but they were not disposed to believe what they had first denied.
ٮم ٮعٮٮا مں ٮعده رسلا الى ڡومهم ڡحاوهم ٮالٮٮٮٮ ڡما كاٮوا لٮومٮوا ٮما كدٮوا ٮه مں ڡٮل
Thus do We stamp the cores of those who cross the limits.
كدلك ٮطٮع على ڡلوٮ المعٮدٮں
Then, after them, We raised up Moussa and Harun to Fir'awn and his court, with Our signs; but they grew proud and were a severed people.
ٮم ٮعٮٮا مں ٮعدهم موسى وهروں الى ڡرعوں وملاٮه ٮاٮٮٮا ڡاسٮكٮروا وكاٮوا ڡوما محرمٮں
When the truth came to them from Us, they said: "This is surely a manifest illusion."
ڡلما حاهم الحٯ مں عٮدٮا ڡالوا اں هدا لسحر مٮٮں
Moussa said: "Do you say this of the truth, once it has come to you?
ڡال موسى اٮڡولوں للحٯ لما حاكم
Is this illusion?
اسحر هدا
But workers of illusion do not succeed."
ولا ٮڡلح السحروں
They said: "Have you come to us to turn us away from what we found our ancestors upon, and so that greatness, on earth, would belong to you both? We will not believe in you two."
ڡالوا احٮٮٮا لٮلڡٮٮا عما وحدٮا علٮه اٮاٮا وٮكوں لكما الكٮرٮا ڡى الارص وما ٮحں لكما ٮمومٮٮں
And Fir'awn said: "Bring me every knowledgeable worker of illusion."
وڡال ڡرعوں اٮٮوٮى ٮكل سحر علٮم
When the workers of illusion came, Moussa said to them: "Throw what you have to throw."
ڡلما حا السحره ڡال لهم موسى الڡوا ما اٮٮم ملڡوں
When they had thrown, Moussa said: "What you have brought is illusion;
ڡلما الڡوا ڡال موسى ما حٮٮم ٮه السحر
God will render it vain.
اں الله سٮٮطله
God indeed does not make the work of corrupters sound."
اں الله لا ٮصلح عمل المڡسدٮں
And God makes the truth prevail by His words, however much the severed detest it.
وٮحٯ الله الحٯ ٮكلمٮه ولو كره المحرموں
None gave credit to Moussa except descendants of his people, in fear of Fir'awn and their court, lest he try them.
ڡما امں لموسى الا درٮه مں ڡومه على حوڡ مں ڡرعوں وملاٮهم اں ٮڡٮٮهم
And Fir'awn was surely highly placed on earth,
واں ڡرعوں لعال ڡى الارص
and he was surely among the excessive ones.
واٮه لمں المسرڡٮں
And Moussa said: "O my people, if you believe in God, entrust yourselves to Him, if you are true to God alone."
وڡال موسى ٮڡوم اں كٮٮم امٮٮم ٮالله ڡعلٮه ٮوكلوا اں كٮٮم مسلمٮں
They said: "It is to God that we entrust ourselves.
ڡڡالوا على الله ٮوكلٮا
Our Guardian, do not make us a trial for the wrongdoing people,
رٮٮا لا ٮحعلٮا ڡٮٮه للڡوم الطلمٮں
and save us, by Your benevolence, from the people who disown."
وٮحٮا ٮرحمٮك مں الڡوم الكڡرٮں
And We revealed to Moussa and his brother: "Set up houses for your people in Egypt; make your houses a rallying point; and maintain the Contact."
واوحٮٮا الى موسى واحٮه اں ٮٮوا لڡومكما ٮمصر ٮٮوٮا واحعلوا ٮٮوٮكم ڡٮله واڡٮموا الصلوه
And give good news to the believers.
وٮسر المومٮٮں
And Moussa said: "Our Guardian, You have given Fir'awn and his court adornment and goods in the present life,
وڡال موسى رٮٮا اٮك اٮٮٮ ڡرعوں وملاه رٮٮه وامولا ڡى الحٮوه الدٮٮا
our Guardian, so that they may lead astray from Your way.
رٮٮا لٮصلوا عں سٮٮلك
Our Guardian, obliterate their goods and tighten their cores, so that they do not believe until they see the painful punishment."
رٮٮا اطمس على امولهم واسدد على ڡلوٮهم ڡلا ٮومٮوا حٮى ٮروا العداٮ الالٮم
He said: "Your invocation is answered; so stand you both straight,
ڡال ڡد احٮٮٮ دعوٮكما ڡاسٮڡٮما
and do not follow the way of those who do not know."
ولا ٮٮٮعاں سٮٮل الدٮں لا ٮعلموں
And We made the Sons of Israel traverse the sea; Fir'awn and his armies pursued them in iniquity and hostility,
وحورٮا ٮٮٮى اسرٮل الٮحر ڡاٮٮعهم ڡرعوں وحٮوده ٮعٮا وعدوا
until, when the drowning overtook him, he said: "I believe that there is no deity but He in whom the Sons of Israel have believed, and I am among those true to God alone."
حٮى ادا ادركه العرٯ ڡال امٮٮ اٮه لا اله الا الدى امٮٮ ٮه ٮٮوا اسرٮل واٮا مں المسلمٮں
"Now?! When you disobeyed before, and were among the corrupters!
الں وڡد عصٮٮ ڡٮل وكٮٮ مں المڡسدٮں
Today, then, We save you as to your body, so that you may be a sign for those who come after you."
ڡالٮوم ٮٮحٮك ٮٮدٮك لٮكوں لمں حلڡك اٮه
But many men are surely heedless of Our signs.
واں كٮٮرا مں الٮاس عں اٮٮٮا لعڡلوں
We settled the Sons of Israel in a true dwelling, and We provided them with wholesome things; they did not diverge until the knowledge had come to them.
ولڡد ٮواٮا ٮٮى اسرٮل مٮوا صدٯ وررڡٮهم مں الطٮٮٮ ڡما احٮلڡوا حٮى حاهم العلم
Your Guardian will indeed decide between them, on the Day of Appearance, concerning what they used to differ over.
اں رٮك ٮڡصى ٮٮٮهم ٮوم الڡٮمه ڡٮما كاٮوا ڡٮه ٮحٮلڡوں
If you are in doubt about what We have sent down to you, ask those who read the Scripture before you.
ڡاں كٮٮ ڡى سك مما اٮرلٮا الٮك ڡسل الدٮں ٮڡروں الكٮٮ مں ڡٮلك
The truth has certainly come to you from your Guardian;
لڡد حاك الحٯ مں رٮك
so never be among those who contend.
ڡلا ٮكوٮں مں الممٮرٮں
And do not be among those who denied the signs of God, you would then be among the losers.
ولا ٮكوٮں مں الدٮں كدٮوا ٮاٮٮ الله ڡٮكوں مں الحسرٮں
Those on whom the word of your Guardian has proven true will not believe, even if every sign came to them, until they see the painful punishment.
اں الدٮں حڡٮ علٮهم كلمٮ رٮك لا ٮومٮوں ولو حاٮهم كل اٮه حٮى ٮروا العداٮ الالٮم
Was there ever a city that believed and whose faith benefited it — except the people of Younes! When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in the present life, and We granted them enjoyment for a time.
ڡلولا كاٮٮ ڡرٮه امٮٮ ڡٮڡعها اٮمٮها الا ڡوم ٮوٮس لما امٮوا كسڡٮا عٮهم عداٮ الحرى ڡى الحٮوه الدٮٮا ومٮعٮهم الى حٮں
And had your Guardian willed, all those on earth would have believed, all of them together.
ولو سا رٮك لامں مں ڡى الارص كلهم حمٮعا
Is it you who would compel men to become believers?
اڡاٮٮ ٮكره الٮاس حٮى ٮكوٮوا مومٮٮں
It is not for any Self to believe except with God's permission,
وما كاں لٮڡس اں ٮومں الا ٮادں الله
and He places filth upon those who do not reason.
وٮحعل الرحس على الدٮں لا ٮعڡلوں
Say: "Look at what is in the heavens and the earth" — but of what avail are signs and warnings to a people who do not believe?
ڡل اٮطروا مادا ڡى السموٮ والارص وما ٮعٮى الاٮٮ والٮدر عں ڡوم لا ٮومٮوں
What then do they await, but the like of the days of those who passed before them?
ڡهل ٮٮٮطروں الا مٮل اٮام الدٮں حلوا مں ڡٮلهم
Say: "Wait then, I am indeed, with you, among those who wait."
ڡل ڡاٮٮطروا اٮى معكم مں المٮٮطرٮں
Then We save Our messengers, and those who believed — thus;
ٮم ٮٮحى رسلٮا والدٮں امٮوا كدلك
it is a duty upon Us to save the believers.
حڡا علٮٮا ٮٮح المومٮٮں
Say: "O mankind! If you are in doubt about my Law, I do not obey those you obey besides God,
ڡل ٮاٮها الٮاس اں كٮٮم ڡى سك مں دٮٮى ڡلا اعٮد الدٮں ٮعٮدوں مں دوں الله
but I obey God, who will keep you faithfully.
ولكں اعٮد الله الدى ٮٮوڡٮكم
And I have been commanded to be among the believers,
وامرٮ اں اكوں مں المومٮٮں
and: 'Maintain your direction toward the Law, wholly turned toward God,
واں اڡم وحهك للدٮں حٮٮڡا
and never be among those who associate.'"
ولا ٮكوٮں مں المسركٮں
And do not invoke, besides God, what neither benefits nor harms you;
ولا ٮدع مں دوں الله ما لا ٮٮڡعك ولا ٮصرك
if you did so, you would indeed then be among the wrongdoers.
ڡاں ڡعلٮ ڡاٮك ادا مں الطلمٮں
And if God touches you with harm, none can remove it but Him;
واں ٮمسسك الله ٮصر ڡلا كاسڡ له الا هو
and if He wants good for you, none can turn back His favor.
واں ٮردك ٮحٮر ڡلا راد لڡصله
He makes it betide whom He wills among His obedient ones.
ٮصٮٮ ٮه مں ٮسا مں عٮاده
He is the Most-Forgiving, the Benevolent.
وهو العڡور الرحٮم
Say: "O mankind! The truth has come to you from your Guardian;
ڡل ٮاٮها الٮاس ڡد حاكم الحٯ مں رٮكم
whoever lets himself be guided lets himself be guided only for himself,
ڡمں اهٮدى ڡاٮما ٮهٮدى لٮڡسه
and whoever strays only strays against himself.
ومں صل ڡاٮما ٮصل علٮها
And I am not, for you, a trustee."
وما اٮا علٮكم ٮوكٮل
And follow what is revealed to you, and be patient until God judges.
واٮٮع ما ٮوحى الٮك واصٮر حٮى ٮحكم الله
He is the best of judges.
وهو حٮر الحكمٮں
