Al-Qamar

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.

ٮسم الله الرحمں الرحٮم اڡٮرٮٮ الساعه واٮسٯ الڡمر

And if they see a sign, they turn away and say: "A persistent illusion."

واں ٮروا اٮه ٮعرصوا وٮڡولوا سحر مسٮمر

Yet every matter finds its stable place.

وكل امر مسٮڡر

There had indeed come to them, among the pieces of information, that which should deter,

ولڡد حاهم مں الاٮٮا ما ڡٮه مردحر

but of what avail are warnings?

ڡما ٮعں الٮدر

So turn your back on them.

ڡٮول عٮهم

those who disown will say: "This is a difficult day."

ٮڡول الكڡروں هدا ٮوم عسر

Before them, the people of Nuh denied: they denied Our obedient one and said, "He is deranged," and he was harshly chided.

كدٮٮ ڡٮلهم ڡوم ٮوح ڡكدٮوا عٮدٮا وڡالوا محٮوں واردحر

So he called upon his Guardian: "I am overcome, so grant help."

ڡدعا رٮه اٮى معلوٮ ڡاٮٮصر

So We opened the gates of heaven with pouring water,

ڡڡٮحٮا اٮوٮ السما ٮما مٮهمر

and made the earth gush forth in springs, so the waters met according to a matter already decreed.

وڡحرٮا الارص عٮوٮا ڡالٮڡى الما على امر ڡد ڡدر

And We carried him upon a vessel made of planks and joining nails.

وحملٮه على داٮ الوح ودسر

It sailed under Our eyes, a recompense for the one who had been disowned.

ٮحرى ٮاعٮٮٮا حرا لمں كاں كڡر

We have indeed left it as a sign: is there then anyone to remember?

ولڡد ٮركٮها اٮه ڡهل مں مدكر

So how were My punishment and My warnings?

ڡكٮڡ كاں عداٮى وٮدر

We have indeed made the Recitation easy for remembrance: is there then anyone to remember?

ولڡد ٮسرٮا الڡراں للدكر ڡهل مں مدكر

The Aad denied. So how were My punishment and My warnings?

كدٮٮ عاد ڡكٮڡ كاں عداٮى وٮدر

We sent upon them an icy wind, on a day of persistent misfortune, tearing men away as if they were trunks of uprooted palm trees.

اٮا ارسلٮا علٮهم رٮحا صرصرا ڡى ٮوم ٮحس مسٮمر ٮٮرع الٮاس كاٮهم اعحار ٮحل مٮڡعر

So how were My punishment and My warnings?

ڡكٮڡ كاں عداٮى وٮدر

We have indeed made the Recitation easy for remembrance: is there then anyone to remember?

ولڡد ٮسرٮا الڡراں للدكر ڡهل مں مدكر

The Thamud denied the warnings.

كدٮٮ ٮمود ٮالٮدر

They said: "Shall we follow a single human from among us? We would then surely be in error and madness. Has the Reminder been cast upon him, out of all of us? Rather, he is a boastful liar."

ڡڡالوا اٮسرا مٮا وحدا ٮٮٮعه اٮا ادا لڡى صلل وسعر الڡى الدكر علٮه مں ٮٮٮٮا ٮل هو كداٮ اسر

They will know tomorrow who is the boastful liar.

سٮعلموں عدا مں الكداٮ الاسر

We are sending the she-camel as a trial for them, so watch them and be constant.

اٮا مرسلوا الٮاڡه ڡٮٮه لهم ڡارٮڡٮهم واصطٮر

each turn to drink is attended.

كل سرٮ محٮصر

So they called their companion, and he seized her and hamstrung her.

ڡٮادوا صاحٮهم ڡٮعاطى ڡعڡر

So how were My punishment and My warnings?

ڡكٮڡ كاں عداٮى وٮدر

We sent upon them a single cry, and they became like the dry twigs of a pen-builder.

اٮا ارسلٮا علٮهم صٮحه وحده ڡكاٮوا كهسٮم المحٮطر

We have indeed made the Recitation easy for remembrance: is there then anyone to remember?

ولڡد ٮسرٮا الڡراں للدكر ڡهل مں مدكر

The people of Lut denied the warnings.

كدٮٮ ڡوم لوط ٮالٮدر

We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the clan of Lut, whom We saved before dawn,

اٮا ارسلٮا علٮهم حاصٮا الا ال لوط ٮحٮٮهم ٮسحر

Thus do We recompense whoever is grateful.

كدلك ٮحرى مں سكر

He had indeed warned them of Our Strike, but they contended about the warnings.

ولڡد اٮدرهم ٮطسٮٮا ڡٮماروا ٮالٮدر

They sought to turn him away from his guests, so We obliterated their eyes: "Taste, then, My punishment and My warnings."

ولڡد رودوه عں صٮڡه ڡطمسٮا اعٮٮهم ڡدوڡوا عداٮى وٮدر

A stable punishment indeed overtook them at early morning,

ولڡد صٮحهم ٮكره عداٮ مسٮڡر

"Taste, then, My punishment and My warnings."

ڡدوڡوا عداٮى وٮدر

We have indeed made the Recitation easy for remembrance: is there then anyone to remember?

ولڡد ٮسرٮا الڡراں للدكر ڡهل مں مدكر

The warnings had indeed come to Fir'awn's clan.

ولڡد حا ال ڡرعوں الٮدر

They denied all Our signs, so We seized them with the seizing of an All-Powerful, Capable One.

كدٮوا ٮاٮٮٮا كلها ڡاحدٮهم احد عرٮر مڡٮدر

Are those of you who disown better than those, or do you have a quittance in the Formularies?

اكڡاركم حٮر مں اولٮكم ام لكم ٮراه ڡى الرٮر

Or do they say: "We are a united force, able to help itself"?

ام ٮڡولوں ٮحں حمٮع مٮٮصر

The force will be defeated, and they will turn their backs.

سٮهرم الحمع وٮولوں الدٮر

and the Hour is more terrible and more bitter.

والساعه ادهى وامر

The severed are indeed in error and madness, the Day they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces: "Taste the touch of Saqar."

اں المحرمٮں ڡى صلل وسعر ٮوم ٮسحٮوں ڡى الٮار على وحوههم دوڡوا مس سڡر

We have created every thing according to a measure.

اٮا كل سى حلڡٮه ٮڡدر

And Our command is but one, like the blink of an eye.

وما امرٮا الا وحده كلمح ٮالٮصر

We have indeed annihilated those of your sort: is there then anyone to remember?

ولڡد اهلكٮا اسٮاعكم ڡهل مں مدكر

And everything they did is in the Formularies.

وكل سى ڡعلوه ڡى الرٮر

And everything, small or great, is inscribed.

وكل صعٮر وكٮٮر مسٮطر

Those who guard themselves are indeed in gardens and by a river, in a seat of veracity, near a Sovereign, Capable.

اں المٮڡٮں ڡى حٮٮ وٮهر ڡى مڡعد صدٯ عٮد ملٮك مڡٮدر
