Al-Mursalat
Those Sent Forth
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. By those sent forth in succession, and those scattering violently, and those deploying far and wide, and those separating distinctly, and those addressing a reminder, as justification or as warning: indeed, what you are promised will surely befall.
ٮسم الله الرحمں الرحٮم والمرسلٮ عرڡا ڡالعصڡٮ عصڡا والٮسرٮ ٮسرا ڡالڡرڡٮ ڡرڡا ڡالملڡٮٮ دكرا عدرا او ٮدرا اٮما ٮوعدوں لوڡع
So when the stars are obliterated, and when the sky is cracked open, and when the mountains are blasted away, and when the messengers' time is set — for what Day were they adjourned? For the Day of Separation.
ڡادا الٮحوم طمسٮ وادا السما ڡرحٮ وادا الحٮال ٮسڡٮ وادا الرسل اڡٮٮ لاى ٮوم احلٮ لٮوم الڡصل
And what will give you an idea of what the Day of Separation is?
وما ادرٮك ما ٮوم الڡصل
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
Did We not annihilate the former peoples?
الم ٮهلك الاولٮں
Then We will make the later ones follow them.
ٮم ٮٮٮعهم الاحرٮں
Thus do We deal with the severed.
كدلك ٮڡعل ٮالمحرمٮں
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
Did We not create you from a despised water? Then We placed it in a secure and stable place, until a known measure; We determined —
الم ٮحلڡكم مں ما مهٮں ڡحعلٮه ڡى ڡرار مكٮں الى ڡدر معلوم ڡڡدرٮا
and excellent are We at determining!
ڡٮعم الڡدروں
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
Have We not made the earth a receptacle for the living and the dead? And placed therein firm and lofty anchors, and given you fresh water to drink?
الم ٮحعل الارص كڡاٮا احٮا واموٮا وحعلٮا ڡٮها روسى سمحٮ واسڡٮٮكم ما ڡراٮا
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
"Depart to that which you used to deny! Depart to a shadow of three branches, neither shading nor availing against the flame."
اٮطلڡوا الى ما كٮٮم ٮه ٮكدٮوں اٮطلڡوا الى طل دى ٮلٮ سعٮ لا طلٮل ولا ٮعٮى مں اللهٮ
It throws up sparks as huge as palaces, as though they were yellow camels.
اٮها ٮرمى ٮسرر كالڡصر كاٮه حملٮ صڡر
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
This is the Day they will utter nothing, nor will they be given permission to make excuses.
هدا ٮوم لا ٮٮطڡوں ولا ٮودں لهم ڡٮعٮدروں
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
This is the Day of Separation; We have brought together you and the former peoples. So if you have a scheme, then scheme against Me!
هدا ٮوم الڡصل حمعٮكم والاولٮں ڡاں كاں لكم كٮد ڡكٮدوں
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
Indeed, those who guarded themselves will be amid shades and springs, and savoury fruits of whatever they desire:
اں المٮڡٮں ڡى طلل وعٮوں وڡوكه مما ٮسٮهوں
"Eat and drink
كلوا واسرٮوا
pleasantly, for what you used to do."
هٮٮا ٮما كٮٮم ٮعملوں
Thus do We recompense those who do good.
اٮا كدلك ٮحرى المحسٮٮں
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
"Eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are severed."
كلوا وٮمٮعوا ڡلٮلا اٮكم محرموں
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
And when it is said to them, "Kneel," they do not kneel.
وادا ڡٮل لهم اركعوا لا ٮركعوں
Woe, that Day, to the deniers!
وٮل ٮومٮد للمكدٮٮں
In what discourse, after this one, will they then believe?
