The Romans
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent.
Alif. Lam. Mim.
الٓمٓ
The Romans were victorious, in the nearest land; but after their victory, they will be defeated, within a few years.
غُلِبَتِ ٱلرُّومُ فِىٓ أَدْنَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ فِى بِضْعِ سِنِينَ
To God belongs the command, before and after.
لِلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِنۢ بَعْدُ
And on that day the believers will rejoice in God's help —
وَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَفْرَحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ بِنَصْرِ ٱللَّهِ
He helps whom He wills;
يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُ
and He is the All-Powerful, the Benevolent.
وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
God's promise: God does not fail His promise,
وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥ
but most men do not know.
وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
They know only an outward aspect of the present life, while of the last life they are heedless.
يَعْلَمُونَ ظَٰهِرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ
Have they not reflected within themselves?
أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِم
God did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them, except in truth and for an appointed term;
مَّا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى
and surely many men disown the meeting with their Guardian.
وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِلِقَآئِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكَٰفِرُونَ
Have they not traveled through the earth and looked at what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength, and they stirred up the earth
أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةًۭ وَأَثَارُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ
and populated it more than they have populated it; and their messengers came to them with clear proofs,
وَعَمَرُوهَآ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
and God was not going to wrong them,
فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ
but it was themselves that they wronged.
وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Then the end of those who did evil was the worst, for they denied the signs of God and used to mock them.
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ أَن كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
God begins creation, then remakes it, then to Him they will be returned.
ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
And on the day the Hour rises, the severed will be plunged into despair, and they will have, among their associates, no intercessors; and even their own associates, they will disown.
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُم مِّن شُرَكَآئِهِمْ شُفَعَٰٓؤُا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ كَٰفِرِينَ
And on the day the Hour rises, that day they will be separated:
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ
as for those who believed and did sound deeds, they will be overjoyed in a flowering meadow;
فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَهُمْ فِى رَوْضَةٍۢ يُحْبَرُونَ
and as for those who disowned and denied Our signs and the meeting of the last life, those will be brought into the punishment.
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَلِقَآئِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ
So glory be to God when you enter the evening and when you enter the morning!
فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ
And to Him is praise in the heavens and the earth, and at the day's decline, and when you enter midday.
وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّۭا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ
He brings the living out of the dead, and brings the dead out of the living, and brings the earth back to life after its death;
يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ وَيُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا
and thus will you be brought forth.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ
And among His signs is that He created you from earth; then, behold, you are humans deploying.
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ تَنتَشِرُونَ
And among His signs is that He created for you, from yourselves, spouses, so that you might find rest in them, and He placed between you affection and benevolence;
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةًۭ وَرَحْمَةً
there are surely in that signs for a people who reflect.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
And among His signs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variety of your tongues and your colors;
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ خَلْقُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَٰفُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَٰنِكُمْ
there are surely in that signs for those who know.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَۖ
And among His signs are your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking of His favor;
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ مَنَامُكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱبْتِغَآؤُكُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦٓ
there are surely in that signs for a people who hear.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَسْمَعُونَ
And among His signs is that He shows you the lightning, feared and hoped for, and sends down water from the sky by which He brings the earth back to life after its death;
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُرِيكُمُ ٱلْبَرْقَ خَوْفًۭا وَطَمَعًۭا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَيُحْىِۦ بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ
there are surely in that signs for a people who reason.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ
And among His signs is that the sky and the earth stand by His command;
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن تَقُومَ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ
then, when He calls you with a single call from the earth, behold, you will come forth.
ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ إِذَآ أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ
And to Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth;
وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ
all are devoted to Him.
كُلٌّۭ لَّهُۥ قَٰنِتُونَ
And it is He who begins creation, then remakes it — a matter yet easier for Him;
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ وَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِ
and to Him belongs the most exalted example, in the heavens and the earth;
وَلَهُ ٱلْمَثَلُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and He is the All-Powerful, the Wise.
وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ
He has multiplied for you an example drawn from yourselves: do you have, among those bound to you by oath, any partners in what We have provided you, such that you would be equal in that, fearing them as you fear one another?
ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًۭا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُم مِّن شُرَكَآءَ فِى مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌۭ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ
Thus do We detail the signs for a people who reason.
كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ
Those who did wrong rather followed their emotions, without knowledge.
بَلِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ
So who will guide the one God has led astray?
فَمَن يَهْدِى مَنْ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّهُ
And they will have no help.
وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ
Maintain your direction toward the Law, wholly turned toward God — the original nature God gave mankind, as He originated them. There is no changing God's creation: that is the upright Law, but most men do not know — ever having recourse to Him, guard yourselves toward Him, maintain the Contact, and do not be among those who associate, among those who divided their Law and became factions,
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًۭا فِطْرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ ٱللَّهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًۭا
each party rejoicing in what it holds.
كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
And when harm touches men, they call upon their Guardian, having recourse to Him;
وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلنَّاسَ ضُرٌّۭ دَعَوْا۟ رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ
then when He lets them taste a benevolence from Him, behold, a fraction among them associates with their Guardian,
ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ
so as to disown what We have given them.
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ
Enjoy yourselves, then: soon you will know.
فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Or have We sent down upon them an authority which speaks in favor of what they associate with Him?
أَمْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَٰنًۭا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يُشْرِكُونَ
And when We let men taste a benevolence, they rejoice in it;
وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحْمَةًۭ فَرِحُوا۟ بِهَا
but if evil strikes them for what their hands have prepared, behold, they lose heart.
وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُونَ
Have they not seen that God extends provision to whom He wills, and measures it?
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ
There are surely in that signs for a people who believe.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ
So give to the close relative his due, and to the destitute and the stranded traveler;
فَـَٔاتِ ذَا ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ
that is better for those who want the direction of God,
ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ ٱللَّهِ
and those are the ones who succeed.
وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
And whatever you give as a loan that swells, that it may swell through the goods of men, does not swell with God;
وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن رِّبًۭا لِّتُرْبُواْ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَلَا يَرْبُوا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ
but whatever you give in pure liberality, wanting the direction of God — it is they who double.
وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن زَكَوٰةٍۢ تُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ ٱللَّهِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُضْعِفُونَ
God is He who created you, then provided for you, then will cause you to die, then will bring you back to life.
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ
Is there among your associates one who does any of that?
هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَفْعَلُ مِن ذَٰلِكُم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ
Glory be to Him, and He is far above what you associate with Him.
سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned, so that He may let them taste some of what they have done, perhaps they will return.
ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
Say, "Travel through the earth and look at what was the end of those who came before."
قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلُ
Most of them were associators.
كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّشْرِكِينَ
So maintain your direction toward the upright Law, before there comes, from God, a day that cannot be turned back:
فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ ٱلْقَيِّمِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌۭ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ
that day, they will be split apart.
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَصَّدَّعُونَ
Whoever disowns, his disowning falls back upon him;
مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۥ
and whoever does a sound deed — those lay out a bed for themselves — so that He may recompense, out of His favor, those who believed and did sound deeds.
وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ
He does not love those who disown.
إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
And among His signs is that He sends the winds as bearers of good tidings, so as to let you taste of His benevolence, and so that the vessels may sail by His command, and so that you may seek His favor, and perhaps you will be grateful.
وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرْسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٍۢ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
And We certainly sent, before you, messengers to their people; they came to them with clear proofs, and We took vengeance upon those who cut themselves off;
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟
and it was a duty upon Us to help the believers.
وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
God is He who sends the winds; they stir up clouds, which He spreads in the sky as He wills, and breaks into fragments; then you see the shower come forth from their midst.
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًۭا فَيَبْسُطُهُۥ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ وَيَجْعَلُهُۥ كِسَفًۭا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَٰلِهِۦ
Then when He makes it betide whom He wills of His obedient ones, behold, they exult,
فَإِذَآ أَصَابَ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ
even though before that, before it was sent down upon them, they were in despair.
وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمُبْلِسِينَ
So look at the trace of God's benevolence: how He brings the earth back to life after its death;
فَٱنظُرْ إِلَىٰٓ أَثَرِ رَحْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ
that is He who will surely bring the dead back to life,
إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
and He is capable of all things.
وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ
And if We sent a wind, and they saw it turn yellow, they would stay on, after that, disowning.
وَلَئِنْ أَرْسَلْنَا رِيحًۭا فَرَأَوْهُ مُصْفَرًّۭا لَّظَلُّوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ يَكْفُرُونَ
So you do not make the dead hear, nor do you make the deaf hear the call, when they turn their backs in retreat.
فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ
And you are not the one who guides the blind out of their error;
وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِ ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمْ
you make hear only him who believes in Our signs, and those are true to God alone.
إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
God is He who created you from weakness, then made, after weakness, strength, then made, after strength, weakness and white hair;
ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضُعْفٖ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضُعْفٖ قُوَّةًۭ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍۢ ضُعْفاٗ وَشَيْبَةًۭ
He creates what He wills,
يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ
and He is the All-Knowing, the Capable.
وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْقَدِيرُ
And on the day the Hour rises, the severed will swear they remained but an hour;
وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍۢ
thus were they turned away.
كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْفَكُونَ
And those who were given knowledge and faith will say, "You have certainly remained, under God's Code, until the Day of Raising;
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْبَعْثِ
so this is the Day of Raising — but you did not know."
فَهَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْبَعْثِ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
That day, the excuse of the wrongdoers will not benefit them, nor will they be asked to make amends.
فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا تَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
And We have certainly multiplied for men, in this Recitation, every kind of example;
وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍۢ
and if you bring them a sign, those who disown will certainly say, "You are nothing but workers of falsehood."
وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍۢ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ
Thus does God stamp the cores of those who do not know.
كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
So be patient:
فَٱصْبِرْ
God's promise is indeed truth;
إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ
and do not let those who lack certainty make you light.
وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ
