The Prostration
In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. Alif. Lam. Mim.
ٮسم الله الرحمں الرحٮم الم
The descent of the Scripture — no doubt possible — is from the Guardian of all beings.
ٮٮرٮل الكٮٮ لا رٮٮ ڡٮه مں رٮ العلمٮں
Or will they say: "He has invented it"?
ام ٮڡولوں اڡٮرٮه
It is rather the truth from your Guardian, that you may warn a people to whom no warner had come before you, in the hope that they will let themselves be guided.
ٮل هو الحٯ مں رٮك لٮٮدر ڡوما ما اٮٮهم مں ٮدٮر مں ڡٮلك لعلهم ٮهٮدوں
God is He who created the heavens and the earth, and what is between them, in six days, then established Himself upon the Edifice;
الله الدى حلٯ السموٮ والارص وما ٮٮٮهما ڡى سٮه اٮام ٮم اسٮوى على العرس
you have, besides Him, neither protector nor intercessor.
ما لكم مں دوٮه مں ولى ولا سڡٮع
Will you not then remember?
اڡلا ٮٮدكروں
He governs the Order from the sky to the earth, then it ascends to Him in a day whose measure is a thousand years of those you number.
ٮدٮر الامر مں السما الى الارص ٮم ٮعرح الٮه ڡى ٮوم كاں مڡداره الڡ سٮه مما ٮعدوں
That is the Knower of what escapes the senses and of what is witnessed, the All-Powerful, the Benevolent,
دلك علم العٮٮ والسهده العرٮر الرحٮم
who made excellent the creation of everything, and began the creation of the human being from clay,
الدى احسں كل سى حلڡه وٮدا حلٯ الاٮسں مں طٮں
then made his progeny from an extract of a despised water,
ٮم حعل ٮسله مں سلله مں ما مهٮں
then proportioned him, and breathed into him of His Influx,
ٮم سوٮه وٮڡح ڡٮه مں روحه
and He appointed for you hearing, sight, and Consciences —
وحعل لكم السمع والاٮصر والاڡده
how little you are grateful!
ڡلٮلا ما ٮسكروں
And they said, "When we have strayed in the earth, will we truly be in a new creation?"
وڡالوا ادا صللٮا ڡى الارص اٮا لڡى حلٯ حدٮد
They rather disown the meeting with their Guardian.
ٮل هم ٮلڡا رٮهم كڡروں
Say, "The Agent of death, who has been entrusted with you, will keep you faithfully; then to your Guardian you will be returned."
ڡل ٮٮوڡٮكم ملك الموٮ الدى وكل ٮكم ٮم الى رٮكم ٮرحعوں
And if you could see when the severed have their heads bowed before their Guardian: "Our Guardian, we have seen clearly and heard, so return us; we will do sound deeds — we are now indeed certain."
ولو ٮرى اد المحرموں ٮاكسوا روسهم عٮد رٮهم رٮٮا اٮصرٮا وسمعٮا ڡارحعٮا ٮعمل صلحا اٮا موڡٮوں
And had We willed, We would have given every Self its guidance;
ولو سٮٮا لاٮٮٮا كل ٮڡس هدٮها
but My saying has proven true: "I will surely fill Jahannam with the Occulted and humans, all together."
ولكں حٯ الڡول مٮى لاملاں حهٮم مں الحٮه والٮاس احمعٮں
So taste, for having forgotten the meeting of this Day of yours — We have indeed forgotten you —
ڡدوڡوا ٮما ٮسٮٮم لڡا ٮومكم هدا اٮا ٮسٮٮكم
and taste the punishment of eternity for what you used to do.
ودوڡوا عداٮ الحلد ٮما كٮٮم ٮعملوں
Only those believe in Our signs who, when they are reminded of them, fall down in prostration and glorify their Guardian with praise, and do not grow proud.
اٮما ٮومں ٮاٮٮٮا الدٮں ادا دكروا ٮها حروا سحدا وسٮحوا ٮحمد رٮهم وهم لا ٮسٮكٮروں
Their sides draw away from their beds, calling upon their Guardian in fear and hope, and they spend out of what We have provided them.
ٮٮحاڡى حٮوٮهم عں المصاحع ٮدعوں رٮهم حوڡا وطمعا ومما ررڡٮهم ٮٮڡڡوں
And no Self knows what has been hidden for them of a rest of the gaze, as recompense for what they used to do.
ڡلا ٮعلم ٮڡس ما احڡى لهم مں ڡره اعٮں حرا ٮما كاٮوا ٮعملوں
Is he who is a believer like him who is an overstepper?
اڡمں كاں مومٮا كمں كاں ڡاسڡا
They are not equal.
لا ٮسٮوں
As for those who believed and did sound deeds, they have the gardens of refuge, as a welcome, for what they used to do;
اما الدٮں امٮوا وعملوا الصلحٮ ڡلهم حٮٮ الماوى ٮرلا ٮما كاٮوا ٮعملوں
and as for those who overstepped the limits, their refuge is the Fire:
واما الدٮں ڡسڡوا ڡماوٮهم الٮار
every time they wish to come out of it, they will be returned to it, and it will be said to them, "Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny."
كلما ارادوا اں ٮحرحوا مٮها اعٮدوا ڡٮها وڡٮل لهم دوڡوا عداٮ الٮار الدى كٮٮم ٮه ٮكدٮوں
And We will surely make them taste of the nearer punishment, short of the greater punishment, perhaps they will return.
ولٮدٮڡٮهم مں العداٮ الادٮى دوں العداٮ الاكٮر لعلهم ٮرحعوں
And who does more wrong than he who is reminded of the signs of his Guardian, and then turns away from them?
ومں اطلم ممں دكر ٮاٮٮ رٮه ٮم اعرص عٮها
We will indeed take vengeance upon the severed.
اٮا مں المحرمٮں مٮٮڡموں
And We certainly gave Moussa the Scripture —
ولڡد اٮٮٮا موسى الكٮٮ
so do not be in contention about his meeting —
ڡلا ٮكں ڡى مرٮه مں لڡاٮه
and We made it a guidance for the Sons of Israel.
وحعلٮه هدى لٮٮى اسرٮل
And We appointed among them leaders guiding by Our command, because they had been patient,
وحعلٮا مٮهم اٮمه ٮهدوں ٮامرٮا لما صٮروا
and had certainty in Our signs.
وكاٮوا ٮاٮٮٮا ٮوڡٮوں
Your Guardian is He who will separate between them, on the Day of Appearance, concerning that in which they differed.
اں رٮك هو ٮڡصل ٮٮٮهم ٮوم الڡٮمه ڡٮما كاٮوا ڡٮه ٮحٮلڡوں
Are they not guided by how many generations We annihilated before them, in whose dwellings they walk?
اولم ٮهد لهم كم اهلكٮا مں ڡٮلهم مں الڡروں ٮمسوں ڡى مسكٮهم
There are surely in that signs.
اں ڡى دلك لاٮٮ
Do they not then hear?
اڡلا ٮسمعوں
Have they not seen that We drive the water to the arid land, and thereby bring forth crops from which their cattle and they themselves eat?
اولم ٮروا اٮا ٮسوٯ الما الى الارص الحرر ڡٮحرح ٮه ررعا ٮاكل مٮه اٮعمهم واٮڡسهم
Do they not then see clearly?
اڡلا ٮٮصروں
And they say, "When is this opening, if you are veracious?"
وٮڡولوں مٮى هدا الڡٮح اں كٮٮم صدڡٮں
Say, "On the day of the opening, faith will no longer benefit those who disowned, nor will they be given respite."
ڡل ٮوم الڡٮح لا ٮٮڡع الدٮں كڡروا اٮمٮهم ولا هم ٮٮطروں
So turn away from them, and wait:
ڡاعرص عٮهم واٮٮطر
they are indeed waiting.
