Al-Fajr

In the name of God, the All-Benevolent, the Benevolent. By the dawn! By ten nights! By the even, and the odd! By the night when it ebbs away! Is there in that a swearing for one who has restraint?

ٮسم الله الرحمں الرحٮم والڡحر ولٮال عسر والسڡع والوٮر والٮل ادا ٮسر هل ڡى دلك ڡسم لدى ححر

Have you not seen how your Guardian dealt with the Aad, Iram of the lofty pillars, the like of which had never been created in the lands? And with the Thamud, who hewed through the rock in the valley? And with Fir'awn, holder of the stakes? Those who exceeded all measure in the lands and made corruption abound therein — so your Guardian poured upon them a scourge of punishment.

الم ٮر كٮڡ ڡعل رٮك ٮعاد ارم داٮ العماد الٮى لم ٮحلٯ مٮلها ڡى الٮلد وٮمود الدٮں حاٮوا الصحر ٮالواد وڡرعوں دى الاوٮاد الدٮں طعوا ڡى الٮلد ڡاكٮروا ڡٮها الڡساد ڡصٮ علٮهم رٮك سوط عداٮ

Surely, your Guardian is ever on the lookout.

اں رٮك لٮالمرصاد

As for the human being, when his Guardian tests him and honors him and blesses him, he says, "My Guardian has honored me."

ڡاما الاٮسں ادا ما اٮٮلٮه رٮه ڡاكرمه وٮعمه ڡٮڡول رٮى اكرمں

But when He tests him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Guardian has degraded me." By no means!

واما ادا ما اٮٮلٮه ڡڡدر علٮه ررڡه ڡٮڡول رٮى اهٮں كلا

But rather, you do not honor the orphan, and you do not urge the feeding of the destitute, and you consume the inheritance with voracious greed, and you love goods with immoderate love. By no means!

ٮل لا ٮكرموں الٮٮٮم ولا ٮحصوں على طعام المسكٮں وٮاكلوں الٮراٮ اكلا لما وٮحٮوں المال حٮا حما كلا

When the earth is flattened blow after blow, and your Guardian comes, and the Agent, rank upon rank, and Jahannam is brought, that Day — that Day the human being will remember, but what good will remembrance be to him then?

ادا دكٮ الارص دكا دكا وحا رٮك والملك صڡا صڡا وحاى ٮومٮد ٮحهٮم ٮومٮد ٮٮدكر الاٮسں واٮى له الدكرى

He will say, "Oh, if only I had sent ahead for my life!"

ٮڡول ٮلٮٮٮى ڡدمٮ لحٮاٮى

That Day, none will be punished as he is punished, and none will be bound as he is bound.

ڡٮومٮد لا ٮعدٮ عداٮه احد ولا ٮوٮٯ وٮاڡه احد

O reassured Self! Return to your Guardian, well-pleased and pleasing. Enter among My obedient ones, and enter My Garden!
